Only one bobolink hat? Yes Janice, this has got to be a joke. Everyone I know has a hat with bobolink feathers.

Then again, that was a different time in America. Perhaps they didn't know what we now know about the bobolink.

Oooh, have you ever read Flight Maps: Adventures with Nature in Modern America by Jennifer Price? I haven't read the whole thing, but she has a fascinating chapter on this.
